Shira Boehler, like an increasing number of women, didn't fit the profile for the typical lung cancer patient. Now, she's spreading awareness. Shira went on a 6-mile run the morning before doctors told her they suspected she had lung cancer. She didn’t believe them. Late last year, after a preventative screening, Shira was unexpectedly diagnosed with lung cancer, despite having no symptoms and never smoking.
